Diji Solanke

Now a core member of our creative process, Diji was the catalyst for bringing together the most recent trio lineup of Cosys Ex collective, after touring his solo material in 2024 with Merle and Rob working as session musicians on a few dates in Newcastle and London for his project “IHDY.”

Rob and Diji had also worked previously together as session musicians for many years previously, touring long term with a singer hailing from Dunoon called Martha Hill, appearing regularly with her in performances around the UK, on the major national festival circuit, and regularly broadcasted on BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music.

After performing as part of a show with the members from the wider Cosys Ex collective in September 2025, Diji became a key member of the project and has since played on every live set. The trio with Merle and Rob spent a week at a residential mid 2026 based in a cottage next to an ancient forest, developing ideas that became a solid foundation to perform more regularly as a trio, including featured songs from Diji.
